
1. Troy - Odysseus was sent to fight in the Trojan War 2. Island of the Cicones - Odysseus and his men were outnumbered by an army on horseback and lose many men. 3. Island of The Lotus-Eaters - Odysseus sends 3 of his men to check out the island. They eat the lotus plant which makes them lose all interest to complete the journey home. 4. Island of the Cyclopes - Odysseus and his men get trapped inside one of the Cyclop's caves and devise a plan to escape by thrusting a red-hot pillar in his eye making him blind. The men then tie themselves underneath the Cyclop's rams escaping without him knowing. 5. Aeolia - Aeolus gives Odysseus a bag of wind that will send him back to Ithaca. 6. Island of the Laestrygonians - Many of Odysseus' men are devoured by cannibals living on the island. 7. Aeaea - Odysseus stays on Circe's island for a year 8. Hades - Odysseus encounters his mother realizing that she is dead. 9. The Sirens - Odysseus pours wax into his men's ears so they cannot hear the Sirens' song. He then tells them to tie him to the mast of the ship until he hears the Sirens no more 10. Scylla and Charybdis - Scylla, a six-headed monster eats 6 of Odysseus' best men. Charybdis, a whirlpool that swallows the sea and spits it back up burning hot kills all of the men except Odysseus. He is aided by Zeus who provides a tree for Odysseus to grab on to. 11. Island of the Sun Gods - Odysseus' men disobey his command of not eating the cattle and are punished by Hyperion the Sun God. 13. Ogygia - Odysseus stays on Calypso's island for seven years before Hermes is sent to tell Calypso to free him. 14. Phaecia - Odysseus is offered a ship from the Phaecians 15. Ithaca - Odysseus finally returns home to reunite with his son, Telemachus, and wife, Penelope and to regain his position as King of Ithaca.
