Homer's Odyssey

Odysseus, King of Ithaca is called on to travel to Troy to fight the Trojan War leaving his wife, Penelope, and newborn son, Telemachus behind. After tricking the Trojans into allowing a colossal wooden horse filled with Greek soldiers within the walls of Troy, Odysseus helps to win the battle of the Trojan War. Now it is time for Odysseus and his fellow warriors to return to their home across the sea in Ithaca. Here begins the tale of Odysseus' journey home to his wife and son, and the battle of regaining his place as King of Ithaca, in Homer's epic poem, The Odyssey.
